Course Description: This class is a high school geometry course (typically grade 10). We will be using the Harold Jacobs Geometry curriculum. Jacobs writes about geometry in an interesting and humorous way. Many of the exercises in his curriculum are tied in with real-life examples and illustrations, which makes them more interesting than regular textbook exercises. Some topics which will be covered include: Deductive Reasoning, Lines and Angles, Congruence, Inequalities, Quadrilaterals, Transformations, Area, Similarity, Right Triangles, Circles, Polygons, and Geometric Solids. Homework will be assigned each class period.
