Course Description: This is a college preparatory chemistry class that is math-based and not conceptual. The student will memorize chemical elements and symbols and learn to write formal labs. The class will be interactive and not lecture based. The student will be expected to be punctual, attend weekly, have homework prepared in advance for each meeting, and take in-class timed tests and oral and written quizzes. Labs will be performed in class and also at home.

Textbook Required: Dr. Jay L. Wile Apologia book, Exploring Creation with Chemistry, 2nd Edition, and accompanying solutions and test manual.
Prerequisite: Algebra I
